The petrol blue is way richer in person than I expected, almost teal in certain light. The French lace has a nice weight to it instead of feeling flimsy like other babydolls I've tried.
The silk straps actually stay where I put them, which never happens with the cheap ones I've owned. The French lace has a bit of give so it doesn't dig in, and it still looks delicate. Wore it for our anniversary and felt fantastic.
